I agree that for most clients to truly experience a dent toward desensitization to their stuttering, a systematic and time/labor/knowledge intensive approach is necessary. Our intensive program at the American Institute has each client spending at least 30 hours directly on such activities (and that is often still not nearly enough for some). It is hard in a "Clinical Nugget" to describe the big picture adequately so I appreciate your making this point.
