As a graduate student in Speech-language pathology, I thought of reading your article to perhaps gain some knowledge on the way that we can help those individuals who stutter. I found your article to be particularly helpful in defining what "desensitization to stuttering" is and in providing helpful activities to use when helping these clients. I think the activities that you described can be viewed as "scary" to even those of us who do not stutter. Just by reading the "subway challenge," I cringed in my seat imagining how frightening this might feel (since just standing in front of my peers and give a presentation is difficult, I can't imagine doing so in front of a crowd of strangers);however, I could see how this situation might aid in the desensitization process. Overall, I thank you for posting this article, I really found it to be interesting and insightful.
