As a graduate student, I enjoyed your article and found it to be very informative. While reading your article, I was unsure of approximately what age desensitization activities are appropriate for and can begin. After reading your comments to other posts, I found it helpful to know that even with children as young as preschool desensitization can be used in therapy such as through surveys to help these children not get in the habit of avoiding certain speaking situations. However, I was wondering from your experiences how often desensitization should take place once completed so an individual does not fall back into his or her old patterns?
