Interesting, although I will admit, a bit too clinical for me! After reading this, I was left wondering, what do you all think the average person (adult) who stutters thinks is the definition of stuttering? Shouldn't the perspective of the person who stutters be considered in this redefinition? I see your point from the researchers side and the misinformed listeners side, but what about what a typical adult pws thinks it is defined? I kind of always liked the analogy that stuttering is what happens when you try not to stutter.~Pam
