Thank you for taking the time to revisit the definition of stuttering. It is a constant issue in the schools, as we assess impact of stuttering with students who may not show observable speech characteristics. I am grateful for the OASES, as an evidenced-based assessment tool, which can demonstrate to parents, and teachers about the impact of stuttering in all aspects of a students' life. (e.g., When a student chooses 'not to talk' in class to avoid stuttering and how this behavior impacts his/her access to the curriculum.) I'm wondering how the updated definition you proposed could be reworded to be 'school friendly'. Thank you again for your thought-provoking article.
