Hi Mary! I got to see Dr. Shapiro this weekend, and we both took a moment to talk about how wonderful you are ;-). You have big questions for me. I think good stuttering therapy should involve lots of knowledge about stuttering: what it is, how many people stutter, and how the client stutters. I think lots of desensitization is important. I think lots of voluntary stuttering is important. I think group support is really important. I think really listening to your client is important. I think helping the client to change his view of stuttering and talking is important. And what was important for me? All of the above. ;-) Take care, and make us proud! Joe
