Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your story Marko. I really appreciate your vulnerability in explaining how difficult it was to be a young boy and even a grown man who stutters. As a person who does not stutter, I have a hard time understanding what people who stutter go through on an emotional basis. However, I want to learn. I want to help those with communicative disorders find their voice and use it to their fullest potential. Because of this, I was hoping that you or someone else could answer a question that I have been pondering for a while. Why do people who stutter have more difficulties speaking on the phone than in person? My current opinion could be wrong, and if it is, please change it. However, I feel like if I were a person who stuttered, I would have more difficulty talking face to face with a person. At least on the phone you do not have to see whom you are speaking with. If someone could please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. As stated before, I want to learn more about stuttering so that I can be a better advocate to my community to end the bullying against people who stutter. Marko, you have become an inspirational role model for not only people who stutter, but for the rest of the community to bring awareness on the bullying. Thank you for writing this article and supporting others.
