Thank you, Dr. Koenig. I find your explanation these therapy priorities very helpful as a graduate student still learning about therapy approaches and techniques. In my stuttering course, we are learning about addressing personal factors such as self-confidence and reducing the negative impacts of stuttering on the quality of life for clients. I was wondering if you have found, in your personal experiences, specific techniques/therapy approaches that help adults with anxiety, self-confidence, and/or other negative practices. More specifically, how can we counsel those clients with neurological disorders because they may experience more anxiety due to the sudden deficits accompanying the neurological piece.
