Great article, especially regarding the therapeutic approaches to stuttering, as this is very lacking in the sparse literature on this topic. I wonder if you could comment on what you have learned about the transient nature of neurogenic stuttering. Certainly this affects treatment outcomes, where recovery is a good thing for the patient and his or her family, but problematic for treatment research. For example, Sahin, Crespi, Yilmaz and Coban (2005) found that their couple of cases of individuals with Brodmann area 40 damage showed symptoms that eventually resolved.
