I am glad that you asked whether practice makes perfect. In speech and juggling, it does not. The first point needs to be "what is perfect?" If a juggler worries about "perfect juggling" with no drops, he will never expand his skills and the result will be very boring juggling. When a pws worries about "perfect speech" with no stuttering, the resulting speech pattern is often unnatural sounding and communication can be reduced. The second point is that in both speech and juggling, more effort tends to be negative. Both actions are supposed to be free flowing and effortless. When we attempt to control either, the result looks/sounds unnatural. THANKS JUDY!
