I thought this was a great approach for therapy! Keeping a child motivated during therapy is always a good thing so why not try something new and fun for the child. From your article, I was able to take away from it, that learning a new motor skill can also help teach these children the importance of practice and how everyone has things they need to practice in order to improve. (I know I would need a lot of practice with juggling!) I think this approach of learning a new motor skill can help explain to a child who stutters that they are not alone and everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. We can only get better with practice and recognizing the progress we are making. I enjoyed this article and would definitely consider using this approach in therapy when I have a fluency client. Thank you for sharing this approach!
