As an SLP graduate student, your story enforced what we have been learning in my fluency class - get to know the person and their perception of stuttering instead of going through the steps of some theory. Besides the general friendliness and unconditional positive regard, do you have any more specific tips for future SLPs who may be working with people who stutter?
