Hi Pam, I have seen you on a number of videos and now you have seen me on video, we are even. Watching the video at the film festival was very strange, although a number of the participants were there it was mostly non-stammering/stuttering related people who watched it, it was strange watching it in a neutral environment, i.e. in a public place that is not associated with a stammering group, and that gave the film a different perspective, a bit less emontionally charged and I think I looked at it a bit more objectively. We have discussed being covert before and watching this film also made me realise how far I have come from complete covert to being much more open and I think being in the neutral place helped that process. I love my stuttering friends but sometimes all we talk about is stuttering!!!!! and seeing the film in another context gave my stuttering much more context, if you see what I mean. And I am glad I ded it and would encourage others to do similar, it is quite cathartic.
