Hi Julienne, Thanks for your great comments and questions. In my work as a psychologist I've come across quite a few people who have been bitten by scammers. It's not until they've built up some trust with me over a few counselling sessions do they tell me about these scams because they feel so embarrassed. I'm guessing that's why so few people report being scammed to the authorities. The scams come in all shapes and sizes, though they work best when preying on people who are desperate. I was shocked too seeing how much of this is going on in the world of stuttering. It feels like we may have uncovered some quite disturbing. However, the more people who know, the better.
