It is so frustrating as a graduate student working to become a professional SLP to see sham-artists promising things that they certainly cannot. We go to school for years and still can’t promise those things! Playing on a person’s vulnerabilities and desperation is really awful. I am so glad this was posted because it really is a problem of the “here-and-now.” People put a lot of trust in the Internet and the information they find out there. It is important to remind everyone that anyone can share information and not all of those people have good intentions. What kind of actions could we or people who have experienced this take to bring these kinds of sites down?
