Hello and thank you Elizabeth. Yes I think you are very correct by including the “locus of control”. Yes also that the power lies within the individual to change, to adopt technique/or not to, to aim for levels and types of fluency etc. So, so correct. So many people look for that external control, hope and guiding force. These scams are playing on this of course. When hope is lost or diminished then alternatives are sort for direction and control. Bam…..we have a lure. For people who have never undertaken therapy, or for whom it has not worked well for, these scams are hope and a guiding force. A promise of quick control or cure under expert guidance and based upon many faceless cases.
