Also a graduate student in communicative disorders, it greatly worries me that people will not only spend too much time and money on these scams, but also uses up all of their hope! If hope is lost, a PWS may not even come to an SLP for assessment or treatment. Very frustrating to think that we are unable to help some PWS because they may be unwilling to visit us and hear that bad news that there is no cure. We do all that we can do help and inform the people that come to us for help, but there is no way for us to reach out the the PWS of the world and tell them the unfortunate truth. It is disappointing for us as well that there is no cure, we wish that people did not need us because that would mean that everybody in the world would be an effective speaker and communicator.
