Hi Elise. 1) I always ask parents about sleep patterns of their children who stutter (time to go to bed, time to wake up, nightmares, naps, snoring, and so on). They usually answer these questions with no difficulties. Based on the answers, I think about the best therapeutic procedure. 2) I have already referred some of my patients to neurologists or otorhinolaryngologists (depending on the issues). Many of these patients underwent the polysomnography exam and the results usually indicated episodes of central or obstructive apnea during sleep. Sandra
