Hi Dr. Merlo, Thank you for bringing this fascinating topic to the table. As someone just starting out in my SLP education, I'll certainly take this into account when meeting with future clients. You've sparked my curiosity about some things: 1. In all of your clinical experience and research thus far, how common is the third scenario you mention ("cases of persistent stuttering with no observed improvement of speech after sleep hygiene measures were applied")? Why do you believe their speech did not respond to such measures? 2. Do you see a higher prevalence of stuttering among those who might be described as naturally "light sleepers"?
