I found your propositions in the article particularly interesting and as a first year MS student have never been introduced to the possible linkage between stuttering and sleep before. Personally, I have not received any education on specific aspects of sleep in general during my educational career and do not feel exceedingly knowledgeable on the subject. What future roles do you think sleep hygiene might play in the field of speech-language pathology? Do you see these practices becoming a component of the ever-growing scope of practice of speech-language pathologists in the future and if so, do you think professionals and future professionals should be educated on these issues before implementing and prescribing certain sleep hygiene patterns and techniques for clients?
