Great article and very informative! Prior to reading this article I had never heard that sleep deprivation MAY be a causal factor in stuttering. This article will help me in future assessment and treatment of clients who stutter, by inquiring if the patients lack of sleep causes them to stutter more frequently. If so, a sleep hygiene program will be incorporated into my therapeutic procedures.
