I found this article very interesting. I never really thought about sleep, or lack of sleep, being so important when talking about speech fluency. However, it makes a lot of sense and I can relate because I know that I have experienced having a hard time keeping my train of thought and speaking fluently and without a lot of revisions and long pauses when I did not sleep well or had to get up very early. My question is, this seems to be a lesser known idea in terms of fluency assessment so is asking about sleep patterns a standard question when it comes to assessing fluency?
