Before reading this article, it never occurred to me that stuttering could be linked to sleep deprivation. Since receiving enough sleep is an important for our health, it does make sense that a deprivation of sleep can lead to brain lesions and in turn have an effect on the severity of stuttering. I will definitely keep this in mind when I work with clients who stutter.
