Hi, Carmen. Thank you for sharing your personal history. 1) You say it is strange that your child’ stuttering started three months after adenoids and tonsils surgery. Maybe this is not so strange if we think that, before doing surgery, your child probably remained a long time not breathing well while sleeping. So I think the beginning of his stuttering is more related with the long time he spent with a breathing problem than with breathing surgery. 2) If you observe the exclusion of naps is making his stuttering worse, so I think you should reintroduce naps. But, in my clinical practice, I see that children who need naps are those who do not sleep hours enough at night. So, my first procedure would be guarantee 12 hours of sleep per night. 3) I think you should really talk about this with his pediatrician. Sandra
