Hi Julie. I think sleep patterns should be investigated in all clients with speech and language disorders, not just stuttering. Sleep deprivation impairs cognitive learning (vocabulary, word fluency, reading, writing) and also impairs motor learning. So I think knowledge about sleep physiology, sleep disorders, and sleep hygiene measures is useful for all SLPs. Sandra
