Hi Season, how nice to hear from you and that you remember that first paper I wrote for ISAD 4 years ago. Thank you for all the kind comments. I do feel like I have come an incredibly long way in a short time. But I will likely never forget those disrespectful comments by my former boss. Maybe that's what motivates me to continue to be an advocate. He is a reminder of what ignorance and intolerance there is still out there. Last September I was laid off from my job with that boss and was called back in November (2011) with same agency but different department. I have been in Adult Education for the last 10 months and am transitioning to a new position, which is actually a promotion! We are creating a new program for adults, which includes academic, career and life skills training. We will be offering both traditional and virtual learning. I will be the Assistant Director of Outreach and Marketing. Never in my wildest dreams would have I thought it possible as a stutterer to be in a position where i am speaking publicly every day. I so delighted in reading your response and feel glad that my journey has made an impact for you! ~Pam
