Hi Julie! Agreed! When children who stutter can acknowledge (in a matter-of-fact, confident way) that they stutter, this can sometimes diffuse the situation. We all know that bullies are looking for a reaction that makes them feel powerful. So, when children who stutter KEEP their power through acceptance ("THat's the way I talk sometimes"), it can be disarming to the bully!
