Great question...and a tough one. We must realize that, if a child is experiencing escalating bullying, adults must consider stepping in. We just want to make certain that, depending upon the child' age and emotional state, we are putting them into the equation of "how to handle" situations. No matter what, we want each level of intervention to be a learning and empowering experience for the child who stutters. This is imperative for the child to be able to handle problems as he or she matures.
