Hello Kristen; It's so interesting that you asked this question, as the authors of this article are currently working on an expanded and revise version of a previous booklet on this topic. Of course, in the expanded clinical resource, there is plenty of space to provide cite after cite and more resources on bullying and teasing. Strategies for helping children deal with bullying and teasing have been developed and researched by the psychological professions for decades. The ideas presented in this short article are drawn from those writings and research, and adapted to working with children and adolescents who stutter. And...in my opinion, the strategies are relevant for older students. I tend to stay close to the concept, but adapt HOW I present it according to the age of my students.
