Margo, Have you and your clinical supervisor discussed the potential consequences (plus and minus) of home schooling her child. If the primary reason she is home schooling is because of the fear of her child being bullied, my initial thought is this may be quite problematic (for both the child who may "learn" that if one is afraid the appropriate response is to take shelter as opposed to face the problem, and for the mom who might be resentful). Please note, with no other information I am not advocating any position. However... it is a discussion I would definitely have with a parent. I hope you and your supervisor do as well. What a great learning experience!
