I think it is so important for children who stutter to know that they are not alone when dealing with bullying. This paper brings up a great point that some children don't know the correct way to respond when they are with a person who stutters. They could feel uncomfortable and start laughing and that might upset or embarrass the child that is stuttering. Educating students about stuttering seems like a great way to help them understand what their fellow classmate is going through and help them be more sensitive to their situation. I didn't know anybody who stuttered when I was in elementary school, but I can assume that I would feel a little awkward and unsure of the correct way to respond when interacting with a peer who stuttered. Thanks for sharing this information!
