Not being a person who stutters, I cannot answer one of the questions you posed, but I can discuss the "classroom presentation" question. The authors of this article have all been involved in some way with classroom presentations on stuttering. Bill Murphy and I co-authored a brochure for the National Stuttering Association to help SLPs and children develop their own classroom presentations. In my experience, the results have been predominantly positive and have helped turned some bystanders into buddies for the child who stutters!
