Meredith; The concepts involved in addressing bullying (keeping the child safe, supporting their self esteem, helping them learn to deal with 'meanies," etc) are all still valid for preschool children. I find open, positive discussions to be most helpful for young children. Many times, I use children's literature (a simple Google search can lead to to age appropriate resources) as a springboard for these discussions. As always, parents and teachers play a pivotal role. All together, we can help young children garner quality "character" skills that will serve them in the future.
