Hi Bill, Bob, Nina and Scott, Thank you for your thought-provoking paper. Having personally encountered/interacted/communicated with numerous PWS during recent years, I am aware that many have been the subject of bullying. It can be so damaging. Conversely, I have never experienced bullying, either at school or in the workplace. I appreciate that I have been most fortunate. I think the absence of bullying (in my younger days) was due to the fact that I was a prominent sportsman/athlete and gained selection for the school teams several years in advance of my contemporaries. So, I guess, my fellow pupils kind of “looked up” to me (as I was also tall). (smiley) Incidentally, quite by chance, I learned that my poem “Everyone’s Different” was featured on an Australian radio station (some 12,000 miles away) during a debate/phone-in about bullying. I never cease to be amazed at the power of the Internet (smiley). I understand that the poem (which touches upon our uniqueness) is listed as an ASHA resource.
