Margo, I've been scrolling past your post each day hoping you would respond back. Thank you for doing so. My heart goes out to this mom and her three childen (as well as the family of her son's friend). It sounds as if you and your supervisor will continue to encourage the mom to seek counseling. Like you, I hope she will do so, for her own well-being and that of her children. Sometimes when we see children who stutter, the stuttering itself turns out to not be the biggest problem the family faces, and therefore is not the only issue that must be addressed.
