Ryan, I totally enjoyed your article. It is so important that the cognitive aspects of stuttering be addressed as much, if not more,than the motor components. Your case for the PWS seeing himself in his "new role" of fluent person vs. the comfortable "old role" of PWS makes so much sense. It helps to explain one reason why clients who do so well in therapy have difficulty maintaing their control when direct therapy ends. I got my B.A. from Lehman College in 1972...even then we had a great Communication Disorders program. Many thanks. elise
