For most clients, there’s no reason why you can’t introduce the motoric skills while concurrently discussing the more “big picture” issues surrounding fluent speech and their motivations for wanting to speak fluently. I’m glad you see that merely teaching someone HOW to change something they’re doing is often not sufficient for them to actually do it and for that change to last.
