Hi Voon – Great to hear from you. The book will be out in April next year. I’m so looking forward to hearing your thoughts when you read it. In the end I interviewed over a hundred people. At first I reached out to people over letters, emails and phone calls. Gradually the research took on a momentum of its own, every person I interviewed recommended someone else and stutterers started reaching out to me from all over the country. I was introduced to the person I interviewed in this piece by a lovely family that I was staying with in New Mexico. I was couch surfing (www.couchsurfing.org) and the woman who was hosting us happened to be an SLP. Having told her about the book she introduced me to this man, her client. I was incredibly honored that he had the courage and generosity to agree to an interview.
