Katherine, what an inspiring story! I want to thank you for sharing this story with everybody and letting people know that it is possible to get past their stuttering, even in ways that it's unexpected. I am currently an undergraduate student studying speech, language and hearing and am enrolled in a Fluency Disorders class. We are about half way through with the semester and have learned so much about many aspects of stuttering. I am very intrigued by your story and how you finally found your voice. I think that being able to accept, be comfortable and be proud of any imperfections with stuttering is a huge accomplishment and I commend you for being able to do that. I can't wait for your book to come out so I can get my hands on a copy! I am very interested in your journey and all the things you came across in interviewing so many different people. I do have a few questions for you if you are willing to discuss with me. As you know, I am majoring in speech, language and hearing, so I'm just wondering, did you ever go to a speech pathologist as a child or even as an adult? Also, do you have any advice on what treatments are beneficial in therapy, which ones aren't? Once again, thank you so much for sharing your story, it truly inspired me! Sincerely, Kayleigh Ash
