Thank you for sharing your story Katherine! I admire your writing style throughout this post and I am very excited to read your finished book. I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in speech, language, and hearing sciences. The fluency disorder class I’m taking now has been my only experience in learning about stuttering. Your story has helped me gain helpful insights to add to my growing knowledge; until now I also didn’t know there are people who stutter who have never met another stutterer. How did you explain to the gentleman that he is not the only PWS?
