Hrefna – Thank you so much for your comment. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the piece. I’ll do my best to answer your questions as concisely as I can here. 1. It was never difficult for me to open up to other stutterers about my experiences. I always felt that if I was asking them to be generously honest with me, they deserved the same in return. 2. I’m not sure that he would ever describe himself as chasing his dreams. He did what he felt he had to do, he lived courageously but humbly. 3. This is a great question but far too complex to answer here. There are hundreds of different treatment approaches and hundreds of different stutterers with many different permutations. Every treatment approach I heard of seemed to work for someone but none worked for everyone. 4. I would love to do this. It has been on my mind for a long time but the logistics are, to say the least, challenging. 5. The journey I went on in America was transformative and unique. At this point in my life it would not be possible to replicate in England.
