Hi all, As I mentioned, my stuttering class is currently completing a stuttering awareness project. My group has created a survey for SLPs in the school that asks about caregiver involvement in therapy. If any SLPs who work in the school setting are interested in filling out the survey, it would be greatly appreciated! Here it is! Survey for school SLPs Topic: Role of caregivers in therapy for school-age children who stutter 1.How many children who stutter are currently on your caseload? 2.What is the age range of children who stutter that you currently work with? 3.How many children have you treated for a stuttering disorder within the school system in your career? 4.Do you involve caregivers in the therapeutic process for children who stutter? If so, how do you involve them? What is the extent of their involvement? 5.Do you provide caregivers of children who stutter with any form of education (e.g., handouts, presentations, etc.)? Are there any specific programs or resources that you recommend to promote caregiver involvement? 6.How important do you think caregiver involvement is in the therapeutic process? 7.Do you think that children who stutter whose caregivers are involved in the therapy process are generally more successful in therapy than those children whose caregivers are not involved? 8.Do you find that caregiver’s are usually enthusiastic in participating in the therapy process? 9.Do you have any specific examples you would like to share about a time caregiver involvement was helpful or unhelpful in the therapy process?
