Breanna; it's always hard to say "when" is a good time?... But I will say this; I don't think a child needs to be "ready to own" stuttering before you introduce this topic. I tend to start the conversation with the article, discuss the author's ideas, and then ask "what would it look like" to own stuttering? Hope this helps!
