Thanks Sis, I also remember having a very happy childhood especially when I was with friends and family. School was where I most often experienced an overpowering fear when I tried to talk! Mother was very supportive and she was always very proud of me. When I was about nine or ten years old I build my first telescope out of stuff I found around here and there. When I was much older she told me that she could still hardly believe the stuff I could build when I was so young. Even though we had little money, she was the one that found a way for me to have the best speech therapy available in 1956! I started speech therapy in Kindergarten and stayed with it on and off through High School. Having such a supportive family I feel is key for my recent successes with understanding my stuttering!
