Just a quick note to tell you the title of the textbook Robert Fourie edited that I suggest you take a look at is "Therapeutic Processes for Communication Disorders" NOT "Therapeutic Procedures for Communication Disorders," as I originally suggested. It was published in 2011. BTW, I contributed a chapter to this, in some ways pioneering book on what makes speech therapy therapeutic. It is entitled, "Self-Reflection in Clinical Practice" and may help form a working concept for you of the role and basic responsibiities of speech-language pathologist. EM-S
