As previously stated in the article, motivation is the key standard in successful therapy. It is evident that a person cannot be helped if they do not want help for themselves. It is important that clinicians keep their client motivated, so that therapy warrants change. Also, the relationship between the client and clinician is extremely important to allow for effective treatment and to keep the client interested in reaching his/her goals of therapy.
