Thank you for sharing your insight! I am a graduate student in speech-language pathology and I am currently in a fluency course. We have talked a lot about the individual who stutters and how building a therapeutic relationship is so important. They need to be able to trust their clinician and knowing their thought process behind a certain strategy is key. They also have to know the clinician is not going to have all the answers, but that they are willing to listen and dig through the individuals past experiences to help them the best they can. I agree very much that it is a team effort that includes honesty and trust. Thanks again for sharing!
