I would offer that most/many of us fail to give thought or praise to the steps we've made through our own decisions to change something in our lives or in our 'selves'. That reinforcement is critical to empowering ourselves to continue to risk or to make a change and to remember it as such. Now, not all decisions are made wisely, but we learn from those, too. Did you not make some unwise decisions about your stuttering after having made some darn good ones?
