I will not speak for Scott, as I am certain he will have his own words of wisdom. It is challenging to offer "one thing," but if I may pick up on your own comments and insights regarding the difference in "perspective" of your professors... My "one thing" would be to KEEP the positive thoughts and ideals when working with the "first client"! The idea that we CAN help students who stutter and that they and their families CAN make progress helps make everything in the process more effective. When you approach therapy in this ay, you can better problem solve when things are stagnant, and you will use this positive resolve to become a lifelong learner and continually hone your knowledge and skills to be a more effective SLP! Good luck in all of your future endeavors! Nina
