Tamara: First of all, it is great that yu took advantage of the opportunity to be a part of St. Rose's meetings! What a valuable resource for you in the profession! I answer to your question, my first thought is an example of the title of this paper! At first glance, my hardest times in therapy have been with challenging students and/or parents. Of course, the more experienced I become, the more I realize that the hardest clients (at first viewed as a burden) bring about the most learning (turning them into challenges) . I can say without a doubt that those students and parents (and yes..I remember their names and faces even after ALL of these years) were my best teachers and greatest opportunities for becoming a better clinician!
